WebStart was written 5 years ago, but you are still
force people do download damn archives unpack its and
make shaman things. Especially, that your archive
cannot be extracted by my very modern tar comes with
Debian :-/
Maybe I should not make tar files with 7zip on windows, but
it extracts ok with tar -zxvf on my gentoo machine
I'll have add a directory in your home dir for webstart to work

Ok here is the webstart version of Jeti, it will put the
preferences in your home/.jeti dir
http://jeti.jabberstudio.org/webstart/jeti.jnlp
jabberstudio is dead, could't webstart point to sourceforge.net files?
The problem with the sourceforge.net files is that they are mirrored so I don't know whether that would work
Isn't http://downloads.sourceforge.net/%\{name}/%{name}-%{version}.tar.gz a stable URL? At least we use it for Fedora packaging.
