Jasper allow you use XML entities (&someEntity;) as an
easy way to include common elements in reports. You
define the entity at the top of the jasper report xml
file and then reference the entity in the body. The
XML parser looks up the entity and does the
substitution for you. This is great for including
common elements in the report. The problem is that
jeez substitutes the entities in the report whenever
you modify it using the graphical editor. This is bad
because you loose the entities you've defined in your
report and you then have to go and modify all the
entities and add them back into your report.

I'm not sure if a fix for this is easily doable.
