Category: texteditor Group: None Status: Open >Resolution: Rejected Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: nherzing () >Assigned to: Alan Ezust (ezust) Summary: Path shortening on printing Initial Comment: This is a suggested fix to bug 2846236 regarding the width of the print dialog on long paths. This fix simply trims out the middle part of overly long paths. It's not an optimal solution but using java's built in print dialog limits the possible solutions to this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2012-01-23 14:35 Message: This patch is rejected. Your cutting and pasting of trimPath() into different classes to produce the ellipsis is not something we would want to have in our code base in any case. Why not use MiscUtilities.abbreviate() instead? That's how we shorten paths in other parts of jEdit's code. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=300588&aid=3120745&group_id=588 |
