Category: editor core Group: Regressive (new to devel) Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: mahewa (mahewa) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Moving a caret inside a collapsed fold expands it Initial Comment: In jEdit 4.3pre14 using Java 1.6.0_03, if a caret is inside a collapsed fold and up / down arrow keys are pressed, then the fold gets expanded and the caret is moved a line up / down instead of moving it to the nearest visible line. It's very similar to bug 1541372. It's likely a regression from jEdit 4.2final (or later) in which it worked well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: mahewa (mahewa) Date: 2008-07-11 09:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2130027 Originator: YES Sorry for inaccurate description. Please, do the following (assuming your folding mode is "indent"): 1. Create a text file with text: a <tab>b c 2. Set a caret onto line 2 (<tab>b). 3. Choose menu command Folding / Collapse All Folds. 4. Press up or down arrow keys (to move one line up or down). Result: The text gets unfolded so that you again can see line 2. Normally, e. g. in 4.2final, the caret just went to the nearest visible line not expanding folded lines. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kazutoshi Satoda (k_satoda) Date: 2008-07-10 23:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1483238 Originator: NO I couldn't find a way to set a caret inside a collapsed fold. Could you please describe how to do that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=2004649&group_id=588 |
