The keyboard shortcut, A + `, to Show Buffer Switcher doesn't work.  I am using Java 6 u3 JDK on Fedora Core 7, and jEdit 4.3 pre12.

I think typing the shortcut on [Utilities]>[Trouble Shooting]>
[Keyboard Tester...] will give clear information. Please try and
report the result.

FYI, this shortcut doesn't work too with Japanese keyboard layout
because backquote is assigned as shift+atmark. Typing a backquate with
alt becomes AS+AT.

I haven't changed operating systems or keyboard shortcuts in the course of
the upgrade.  I noticed the problem in going from jEdit 4.2 to 4.3 pre12.

It works for me too, with Debian / KDE, Java 1.6.0_03 and Jedit 4.3pre12.
I would guess that you have another action bound to the same shortcut from
the desktop shortcuts, and it is processing your keystroke before jedit
sees it.

The A+` shortcut to open the buffer switcher works fine for me on my
system:
Ubuntu 7.10
JDK 1.5 and 1.6
jEdit from svn

I like A + ` as the shortcut, it reminds me of Alt+Tab for switching apps.
 The ` is right above the tab key, and switches buffers instead of apps.

In jEdit 4.2, at first, I had some trouble learning that shortcut but now,
I'm pretty used to it.  I was just surprised that it didn't work because as
a programmer, I predominantly use the keyboard and learn the shortcuts, and
it's really annoying to use the mouse for that one little thing.  It really
doesn't matter to me what the shortcut is as long as there is one.

I have the same problem on my ubuntu. I suppose this shortcut should be
changed. I never use the buffer switcher, what shortcut would be good in
your opinion ?
