Is there an easy way to keep > jEdit configs in sync? Well, going between Mac OS X and Linux should be a bit easier, since you don't have to deal with DOS line endings... The main problem I remember was dealing with paths, since some things, like macros and icons have file paths associated with them in the property files. On Mac OS X my home is /Users/pete and on Linux it's /home/pete - so a simple script to rewrite those might be needed. Also, if you use plugins that require other things like aspell or ctags, the paths to those might be different on each platform as well. Is there a wiki page for this subject? I'd like to see a page explaining what all of the files in ~/.jedit are and do, sort of like this page does/did for Mozilla: http://gemal.dk/mozilla/files.html Pete |
