Bugs item #485753, was opened at 2001-11-26 20:48 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by juan-marco You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=485753&group_id=588 Category: None Group: None Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: John Gellene (jgellene) Summary: "Open with jEdit" doesn't work on Windows Initial Comment: java.version=1.3.0 java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc. java.compiler=null os.name=Windows 98 os.version=4.10 os.arch=x86 jEdit: jEdit version 3.2.2 On Windows (98), "Open with jEdit" doesn't work. It launches jEdit (if not already running) but does not display the file in jEdit. I spent a while playing with the registry settings but don't see anything obviously wrong. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: desprez jean-marc (juan-marco) Date: 2003-10-27 21:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=896092 Hi all, I got the same problem I use windows 2000 in french language Complete command line of jedit : C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_01\bin\javaw.exe -mx32m -jar "C:\Program Files\jEdit 4.2pre6\jedit.jar" The activity log [message] Log: java.version=1.4.2_01 [message] Log: java.vm.version=1.4.2_01-b06 [message] Log: java.runtime.version=1.4.2_01-b06 [message] Log: java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc. Also, make sure that when jEdit is not active, there is no file named "server" in your user settings directory. Finally, could you post the language version of Windows 98 you are using (German, Czech, and so on), the command line found in the read-only field at the bottom of the "Set jEdit parameters" dialog, and the full path of your user settings directory. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=485753&group_id=588 |
