I see this issue too, using jEdit 4.3pre17 standalone mode, Java 1.6.0_17 (sun jre). If I copy/paste using a mouse operation it works successfully If I copy from jedit (using CTRL+C) and paste to say terminal window (SHIFT+INSERT) it doesn't paste from jEdit - it pasts the last thing I copied from any other GTK application (I run xfce). So, now I just use the mouse only - any ideas? /djb On Tue, Jan 12, 2010 at 4:13 PM, Troy Bull <tro...@gm...> wrote: > Is there anything I can to to make copy and paste work in linux? Are you both using Fedora? I'm running Ubuntu with Gnome at home and with xfce at work, and copy/paste using just the keyboard works just fine, both to and from jEdit. This sounds like it may be a Java/Fedora issue rather than a jEdit issue. Can you copy/paste from any other Java app? Dale, Troy & List, No Fedora here - I've seen this issue on Ubuntu (Hardy, Intrepid, Jaunty and Karmic) (using Sun JDK + xfce desktop) and on my Gentoo systems. This behaviour is observed on four machines. Currently I don't have any other Java applications, only jEdit. Maybe there's a smallish Java application I could install to run some tests? Maybe someone out there can hack one together quickly? What I find odd is that the copy/paste operation by strictly keyboard shortcuts does not work in/out of jEdit but copy/paste using strictly the mouse does work. /djb 2010/1/14 Dale Anson <da...@gr...>: > Are you both using Fedora?
