Not really a bug, but I had a minor problem with the Search dialog not
appearing, and since the cause took a bit of ferreting out, it might be
worth recording. I'm running jEdit 4.2pre13 on Windows XP.
The Search dialog wasn't popping up as it usually does in response to
<ctrl-f>, menu selection, etc. The jEdit window would lose the focus,
but no Search dialog would appear. Eventually I went and had a look in
my Properties file, and discovered that the Search dialog 'y' coordinate
was set to a negative number (probably because this machine is a laptop
and I often plug an extra monitor in when I'm at a desk). =20
So the dialog was there, but there was no way to access it. If the
dialog was set to appear in the Windows task bar (as some of the other
jEdit child windows are), it would at least have given a clue as to what
was going on, and maybe allowed the window to be maximised/moved. As it
was, re-setting the y coord in the Properties file and restarting jEdit
got everything back to normal.
