if I have a black background for the textarea, whenever my mouse hovers over it, I can't see the mouse cursor.
I use EdtorScheme plugin to change schemes which changes the background color of jedit, and this is when I see the problem. but I don't think this is a bug in editorscheme.

I've looked into this issue in the past since I also use a dark background in jEdit. In the end, I decided this isn't a jEdit issue. Java uses the system mouse cursors, and so does jEdit. Just changing the system mouse theme seems to be sufficient. Personally, I use a mouse theme named "Blue Curve" that works well on both light and dark backgrounds. There are a variety of gray mouse themes that also work well. Java loads the system mouse cursors when it starts, so if you change them at the system level, you'll have to restart jEdit to see the change.

ok, i see how to change the mouse cursors from windows and it is definitely a platform issue and nothing to do with jEdit.
