In r6460 of jEdit from SVN, the BufferSwitcher GUI is
inserting keypresses (used to choose an item from the
BufferSwitcher) into the chosen buffer.

To reproduce this problem:

1. Create two empty files named "foo" and "bar".

2. Left-click on the BufferSwitcher, and observe that
the BufferSwitcher popup-menu has appeared.

3. Press the lower-case "f" key, and observe that the
"foo" buffer is now shown AND its now contains the "f"
character for its contents.

The expected result is that, in step 3, the "foo"
buffer should be shown but the "f" character should NOT
be inserted into the buffer.

Thanks for your attention.

    This also happens with 4.3pre6.

I'm thinking of trying to diagnose and fix this bug, but I'm
not sure where to start. I know Java so that's not the issue.

I have jedit running inside the jswat debugger and am
stepping through code, but I really don't know the jedit
code base at all and would appreciate it if someone could
point me in the right direction if you have any ideas what
might be causing this problem. If not, I guess I'll keep
    plodding ...

    thanks,
    mick

    This still occurs with 4.3pre8

The problem no longer occurs since the 4.3pre9 release.

Thank you so much for fixing the bug!!! :-)
