1. JCF looks for a file called JCF2Settings, but the file supplied in the zipped exe is called JCFSettings. (In the source zip the file is called JCF2Settings, so the zipped exe has the wrong file)
2. The path of the missing JCF2Settings is stored in the Registry, so even if you download a new version of JCF, the old missing path is used.
Workaround:
1. launch JCF
2. Go to Settings|Registry settings
3. Select "Convert settings file" and select JCFSettings.cfg
4. Press OK

I have just downloaded jcf_223_exe.zip, I installed it and run jcfGui.exe. I close the app and run it again, this time I get this error message
"The settings file "c:\....JCF2Settings.cfg" does not exists. The formatter will work better if it is configures to use a valid settings file"
