It's not that different from Beta 13 on the surface, but there's always the chance that something changed internally will go wrong some time. Beta 14 should however be 10-20% faster than Beta 13.
I intend to go to version 2.0 (not beta) shortly after the end of March, unless there are serious bugs which surface in the next month, and by that I mean more serious that what has been occurring over the last few months. Until then the main code branch will not see any unnecessary changes. Hopefully the code can freeze down over the next few weeks.
There are simplifications and speedups that will be pursued, mostly from Adem Baba's suggestions, but they will not be in the 2.0 release. I am quite happy with the speed improvements already.
