The dark side of the Force will open the way for many superpowers, which some consider unnatural and unthinkable, and Shiv Palpatine is the most famous follower of his doctrines. Insidious, powerful and evil to the core, Darth Sidious brought the Sith back and destroyed the Jedi Order. Living a double life, he was simultaneously Palpatine, Senator of Naboo and the Phantom Menace. He manipulated the political system of the Galactic Republic until he was appointed Supreme Chancellor and later became Emperor and ruled the galaxy through fear and tyranny. The galaxy rejoiced when he died in the Battle of Endor, but Sidious deceived everyone, including death itself, and patiently planned his return to power.
