Elliptic Curve Cryptography in Java / News: Recent posts

There has been some interest in the JECC project from outside parts lately. Maybe it is time to do a revival of JECC?

I have added a new cvs module called jecc (why was the old module called src anyway). Furthermore I have changed the Java package names in this module so that the overall package is now called 'jecc' instead of 'ecc'.

This projects is actually not completely dead. I have continued the coding of a useful GUI to test the cryptosystems. This will soon be done and maybe we'll get to the more serious issues some day :)

As far as I've figured the JECC-team is going on a minor christmas holiday with respect to JECC-coding. --Not to worry! We'll be back again in the new year. We are currently building a battle plan of some sort which will probably include some of these points:

- Implement JECC as a JCE provider
- Implement support for ECIES and/or PSEC-sumtin'
or some other standards...

We have temporarily removed the downloadable project. Don't worry me dear friend a new and better (that be correct) version is comming up!

OK, so we've got this project up and running... We'll set up the CVS tree in a matter of hours.
