Some peoples have started a jMule project, here at sourceforge, with the same goals as jDonkey.
They included my source files to their CVS repository without talking about this with me.
So I decided to stop working on jDonkey as I think it's not necassary to have two teams working on the same goal.

Begining of queries implementation: queries can be submitted but results not yet decoded. Remove your old prefs file while new format makes it incompatible.

Even if 2 excellent implementations exists (the official release and MLDonkey), both of them didn't met my needs.
I want to run my eDonkey client on my Linux box and the existing implementations give me too much core dumps.
I think that an Open Source implementation will be a good thing for the donkey network. I know that some people may think differently, but the history proved that Open Source projects often allow to get better software instead of killing it. An Open Source implementation can lead to a better eDonkey network. It's up to you!
Hi all, I'm pleased to announce that I start jDonkey, an Open Source eDonkey 2000 project fully written in Java.
