On two different systems (one 64 bit Fedora core 5, one
32 bit Gentoo), I have the following error when trying
to run the install binary:
./SBW-2.5.5-linux-installer.bin: line 1: !DOCTYPE: No
such file or directory
./SBW-2.5.5-linux-installer.bin: line 2: syntax error
near unexpected token `newline'
./SBW-2.5.5-linux-installer.bin: line 2: `
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">'
All I'm trying to do for the moment is import sbml
files to metatool. Is this even the right software? If
so, how can I get it installed?
Thanks,
Caroline

Hello Caroline, i will look into the issue, for now the best i can say, is to try the command line switches, maybe you have more luck using the
--mode text
flag. Plese let me know how that works for you. The 2.5.5 installer checked for an existing Java version during the installation, i'm not sure whether this causes problems for you ... perhaps you are interested in trying out the new installer on my website:
http://public.kgi.edu/~fbergman/files/latest/SBW-2.6.0-linux.tar.gz
I'm afraid this version has only been tested on ubunto 6.06 and 6.10 but i will perform further testing. The advantage with this version is, that you could run lots of aditional modules:
http://public.kgi.edu/~fbergman/files/latest/CSharp.tar.gz
provided that you installed the mono-runtime (http://mono-project.com).
If you still experience problems, please drop me a node, but i figure the tar.gz format will do nicely,
best
Frank
