Hi Naveen,

This sounds like something that needs to be addressed in your application, like defining some sort of policy to purge your old data to avoid growing the database file forever.  Have you considered that?

Hi there,
I need some help on JDBM.
My problem is as under.
I have a piece of code that constantly gets thes state of Oracle dbase and writes  them to the .lg and .db files.
But as the file size grows it it slows down the Oracle db itslef upto the point when these file  reache 2 gb..(after which we all know the files itslef get corrupted).

Now all i want is a periodic cleaning of old data from this file so that it never crosses (say) 1 gb..

Any help will be appreciated.
