Thank you very much - during the last couple of days I
have taken 1000+ pictures divided into 30 directories.
The new addition made it possible to timestamp and add
filename in one call to jdatestamp.

You can see how I use the utility. Click on a picture
to see date and filename added.

The pictures are not very interesting to someone outside bridge
management - but to us finding a picture again after 1-2 years=20
is very difficult. With the time and filename stamped on the=20
picture it becomes much easier.

I have made a temporary release Temp-1.01d for the changes you need.
Use @f for the file name and @n for the file name without the .jpg =
suffix in the -datefmt option
to stamp filename on the picture.

Thanks for your reply.  In my department we have 5 different
digital cameras and take 10000s og photos every year. I work
in bridge inspection and repair. We include the photos in
our reports.

Your utility is great for putting the date on pictures - then when
reading an old report you can see when the picture was taken
and find the original.  A final touch would be to include the=20
filename - then it is much easier to find the original.

I use jdatastamp on a PC with Win XP and have used the=20
  "for %%i in (*.jpg) do"
to add filenames to photos using jdatestamp.=20

However, I miss the recursive feature in jdatestamp so I could use it on =
files
   **\*Resized.jpg =20
I have not been able to join the two features.

However, if possible I would like to be able to have jdatestamp
to include the filename in a future release.

But for now it is great and I can live with running the file in each =
directory.

As for your requirement of stamping the picutre file name it is not
possible using jdatestamp 1.0 unless you use a script on top of it.
On which machine are you using jdatestamp?

I did not think that there would be such a requirement. Why do you want =
