Maybe you can crosscheck that the RMI-URL does not contain invalid
characters or leading or trailing whitespaces and that also the nodes do
not contain invalid characters.
If nothing quick helps I guess one would just need to debug to find out
what causes
"java.net.MalformedURLException: no protocol: Files/Apache".
BTW: you should also be able to reproduce this if you connect to your
repository via RMI by yourself when you call
node.getProperty("yourProperty").getString()
