Hi everyone , I am starting to use this great framework in my smaller applications with varying results.
I find it very logical and very similar to the new objectspaces framework MS will release eventually.
Is there any real world examples anyone would be happy to share with the rest of us . I work exclusivly in C# not VB and think I will have to make a tool for this framework to do the class generation for me.

Anyway look forward to any feedback or help.
    Thanks
    Martin

      Hi Martin,

      Thanks for the compliment :-)

I'm also very interested to see where it's being used and I am MORE than happy to put links on the web site for anyone who want to promote products that use the framework.

Personally I currently use it for 2 products:
      1. A textile manufacturing ERP system, and
      2. A machine monitoring system for looms

I will also be using it for a point of sale product when I start converting it from VB6.  But this is a longer term project.

Also I know that it has been used in a n-tier web application in Brazil's Center for Nuclear Energy.

Anyway, I'm very interested to hear some feedback.  By the way, what are you planning on doing with it?

      Hi Richard
I am currently extending your order system example for a cigarette wholesale business as a test of functionality of your framework.
But I see so many simarlarities with ObjectSpaces that I won't be able to resist using it in all of my apps.

I currently contract to a large goverment org but they are still 1 year of .Net development so I do small private work on graphics side and ID card managment systems.
The IDsystem could be the first commercial use of the framework.

I still need to see aome examples of real use code to finish grasping the main concepts but am engoying myself so far.

Which country are you in Richard?

Also I believe you have a designer in VB.net for the framework but I need to develop one in C#.

      Thanks
      Martin

        Martin,

        Thanks for the reply.

I'm in Australia.  The designer is on the "to-do" list and I've only managed to knock up a skeleton of what I want so far.  I don't think it would be much work to target both C# and VB with any code generation from it either (it's just syntax after all).

As far as examples of how to do stuff, I'm still working on it (slowly) but I should have something on the web site in the next few weeks to explain a few more features.

      Thanks Richard
      Where in Australia?
      I am in Melbourne.

Let me know if I can help , happy to.
Great to see this coming out of OZ but not surprised. we are a lateral lot.
Have you played with ObjectSpaces , just curious , I played with an old beta but the longhorn sdk docs on Objectspaces are very similer to yours.
      And yours is already usable.

I will keep you posted as to the app's I end up using it in (all if possible) so that we can boost you profile a bit.

      This forum should be buzzing.

      Thanks
      MArtin

Go the Aussies! I'm in Sydney.

Haven't actually used ObjectSpaces (I haven't got my hands on a beta yet) but even still I don't like the MS-centric world you must live in to use it.

Pass the word around - the more people who use this the better it will end up being.

Thanks Richard I will pass the word around.
Be carefull what you ask for though!

I look forward to more indepth examples and maybe a designer. if not i'll write my own.

Good luck and give me a yell if you need help.

      Thanks
