we have one person which has just started to work on improving the forums portlet

the rest of us are working on the portal 2.2, you can track the development here : http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBPORTAL

so there is no much portlet development at the moment

the different subprojects are organized as components : server, portlet, CMS, core, theme, WSRP, forums, etc...

whenever you start working on the download port we will make a component for the dowload portlet and create tasks for it
