For that usecase I would argue that there should be a properties mapping:


  | <properties>
  |    <entry key="key1">value1</entry>
  |    <entry key="key2">value2</entry>
  | </properties>
  | 

because this is a universal construct that I could define a reusable xsd fragment for the content model and annotation for the binding.
