This is my platform: OS: WinXP SP 1a VM: J2SDK 1.4.2_01-b06 Eclipse Version: 2.1.2 Build id: 200311030802 I've tried this with XDoclet-1.2b3.jar (default in the IDE) and XDoclet-1.2b4.jar (from the CVS) - in both cases I receive an OutOfMemory Exception after running "Run Xdoclet" on a project. In the task manager I see how the memory is eaten up (around 10MB at one running) and it the ends craches Eclipse. And I'm talking about more than 128MB of ram here. The Out-Of-Memory after multiple runs is a known issue of XDoclet and cannot be addressed by JBoss-IDE. See : http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/xdoclet/secure/ViewIssue.jspa?key=XDT-554 http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/xdoclet/secure/ViewIssue.jspa?key=XDT-419 By the way, if you switch to Eclipse 3.0M5, Ant scripts are launched in a separate JVM. Maybe it should reduce (eliminate ?) the XDoclet memory leak.
