I am not familiar with Docbook - sounds like that may be a good thing:-D

I will give OpenOffice a shot both RTF and Docbook formats.  Unless anyone disagrees.

I agree that Word could be problematic as many people may be wanting to verify something in the docs but not have Word at their disposal.
