jboard v0.30 released!

i am pleased to annouce the third major release(v0.30) of the java bulletin board called jboard.
the new features are :

- hibernate support
- a rewrite of the jsp
- enhancement of the look'n'feel based on css (not so difficult to enhance it ;-) )

this release has been tested on tomcat 4.1.24,postgresql 7.2.1,oracle 10g, mysql 4.0, and java 1.4.2 on windows.
this project is released under the GPL licence.... read more

jboard v0.20 released!

i am pleased to annouce the second major release(v0.20) of the java bulletin board called jboard.
the new features are :

- a more flexible design (refactoring stuff)
- a registration process
- an authentication mechanism based on JAAS, through JNDI, via a database.
- a secure password storage mechanism (MD5) in database

this initial release contains some forum basic features like create, read, update and delete items like Categories,forumItems, ForumThreads and ForumMessages.
jboard relies on struts, tiles,css2,xhtml 1.0.
many features are planned to be added very soon!(a detailed roadmap will be post in few days).
