Friday night ebay forced my password to be reset
(there security group indicated a problem). I have
reset it successfully and can now use ebay in the
browser w/o problems.
The reset request appeared to coincide with a snipe I
won thru Jbid. The first few attempts at reusing the
new password thru the browser, sent me to the
"number/letter picture" verify window. That is a
window where you have to type in the "numbers and
letters" you see in a multi colored image / picture
they show you in the browser. I guess this is to
prevent botts from auto registering / cracking passwords.
Since then the login (yet I updated the password in
Jbid, and have retyped it numerous times to insure no
type-os) thru Jbidwatcher is failing.
Mac OS X 10.4.6 all updates, Jbid 1.0pre6.

Same here. I'm on osx 10.3.9. I just created a user account on Sourceforge to
hopefully deal withs problem. Also, I have never been able to quit JBidwatcher
without Force Quitting.
Thanks!

This happened to me too. Hopefully they won't make a habit
of it. It did not re-connect after the password reset
because Ebay is asking you to manually enter a confirmation
code (from a graphic). This is how I got it working:
1) Reset password as per ebay instructions.
2) Change password in jbidwatcher and close it down.
3) Log in to ebay via web browser and enter confirmation
code.
4) Log out of ebay and close down browser. I left it for 5
mins here, but it probably isn't necessary.
5) Log in again. No confirmation required this time.
6) Restart jbidwatcher.
All now working fine.

I am having EXACTLY the same probelm described EXACTLY as
the user above it. It is May 2 in the evening. Can login
through the browser fine although I did have issues logging
in through the browser even for a while. But now browser
works fine and jbidwatcher no longer allows me to login.

Some deeper digging points to the new graphic as the
problem. On my ebay account it is asking me to enter the
6 digits from the graphic every time I login. How the heck
can I turn this feature off??

Greetings,
Bugs filed before 1.0 and bugs without responders are being juggled in terms of priority (9 is highest priority). I'm raising bugs filed with a submitter, post-1.0 to P6. Bugs which are filed post-1.0, but without a submitter are P5. Before 1.0 bugs with a submitter are becoming P4, and pre-1.0 bugs without a submitter name become P3.
If the bug is still relevant, and has a watcher (i.e. you got notified when I changed this bug), feel free to bubble it back up again.
Email addresses in bugs are great, but I can't always respond via email. Sometimes, especially for duplicate bugs, I use automated tools (like I'm doing right now) to change status on a large number of items at once.
Thanks for your patience, while I try to pare back the bug list to what may actually still be in the program.
