Today I missed an auction which ended at 1.99 Euro. My snipe was 5.76 Euro. Already mentioned that JBW does not update some auction amounts. Now it doesn't bid for you anymore.

So sorry.

I had an idea: why not rely on auction number: this one is not changed!
While browsing around here, saw that I was not alone with this idea...

Best regards,

Hasn't been picking up the ids properly in weeks. The upgrades haven't helped. Maybe it's cause I'm using the binary on Linux.

    Greetings,
Some other folks who are using Linux have not had an issue with the updates, etc., so I doubt it's just Linux.

You do have to have 'check for updates' and 'allow live updates' checked in the JBidwatcher configuration for it to work.

That said, I do have higher expectations for Linux users to find out what's going on, and determine what the actual error they're facing is (preferably from the log), and provide it, along with version information, java version, etc...

I am curious what you mean by 'rely on auction number'? I don't think many users would find the program useful if it didn't display the auction title as well, if that's what you mean. Internally, the program does use the item number as its primary reference to the auction, but when data can't be successfully loaded, as long as it's important data, the item is considered to have failed loading.
