#1020 does not save settings
Each time I start up the app, I have to enter all settings as if it was the first time it was run. Nothing is saved - no auction info, no configuration settings. There is no .plist file created in my user preferences. A search for items containing "jbid" (visible & invisible) turns up only the app itself - no other files -- this after opening/configuring/searching/closing several times. I don't find an error log, or pref file, or any other file containing "jbid" in the name.
Also won't save auctions. Tries to save to my home folder, but get an error saying not saved. Not sure how it would create a .jbidwatcher folder in my home folder, since I can't manually create any folders there.
Interesting that it says that unchecking brushed metal will only take effect next time it's started, but that setting is not saved either.
Running V1.0 downloaded today.
Mac OS 10.3.9 / mozilla is default browser

Removed virex from startup items and rebooted. No help.
Just tried to create the directory: [user]/.jbidwatcher in terminal using mkdir command, logged in as user, but permission was denied. don't know how to log in as root, not comfortable using terminal. Will try repairing permissions next...

Permissions for my home user folder were set to unknown, or something like that. Reset them using the Get Info window, and now all is OK. Please disregard....
