Hi,

I use the Jazzy plugin for JEdit. It is very nice. But
one feature that would make it infinitely more useful
is spell checkin as you type, similar to a word processor.

You would perhaps need to consider a few things, e.g:

- For different code types, e.g. xml/html, allow
specification of which attributes to also spell check
(e.g. title and alt attributes in html should be
checked, as should meta descriptions, perhaps.)

- Perhaps if performance is an issue you only need to
activate the spell checking once the space key is
pressed, and you can then check the previous word and
underline it if it is not right (though when the
document first loads, you may need to sliently check
the whole document and underline any problems...)

I would like to request this as a very high priority
request, from my perspective. JEdit it great, and I
wish to encourage my entire team and organization of
web developers to use it, but for some of the content
team, the spell checking aspect is critical. Checking
as you type will massively improve productivity.

Thanks,
Anup Shah

Forgot to mention, I notice that the Accents plugin, in
JEdit manages to monitor each character entered, and process
it without any noticeable performance degradation. Perhaps
that idea can be used to monitor the space key to trigger
spell checking of the previous word?
