Eventually the Jazz++ project lost momentum, the WxWin toolkit upgrades required a rewrite of the Jazz++ code, and the project has very little support at this time. Myself, I've moved onto Rosegarden, which is an active project. I don't believe Rosegarden runs on Windows, but that's OK for me as I run Linux. Do you have enough disk space on your laptop to install Win95 too, and make the unit a dual-boot machine? You could even install Linux, and make it a triple-boot machine.
