OK.  I just downloaded mandriva-linux-one-2009-GNOME-int-cdrom-i586.iso, 
and I think I loaded a machine with 2008.* to work with you a while ago. 
  Let me see if the machine still works and the HD is still around ;)...

It has 2008.0 loaded.  I'm getting the updates for it as I write this. 
I'll try to update and rebuild the WX_2_8_BRANCH of wxWidgets, then 
tex2rtf, then Jazz++ on the machine.
