#4 error when trying to run Jaxe

When using the default XHTML files in config dir I
receive the following error message.

    It seems that I get the same error message using ver 1.3 or
    1.2.1, also it is with any config file, not just the XHTML. I
    have not tried to create a config file of my own to test.

    This error means that your JVM is using another DOM API than the one provided by xerces, despite the java command explicitly requesting the use of the xerces.jar file provided. Could you check your CLASSPATH environment variable and see if there is another jar file causing a conflict ?

    I did have another version of XERCES in my ext directory. I
    removed it and it appears to be working properly now.
