I also tried it under RedHat 7.1, but it doesn`t work. Any advice ?

I had the same problem.  Fixed it by re-installing Apache/PHP/MySQL via the RPM's (RedHat 7.1)

Also on RH7.1 (with reiserfs, Apache/PHP/MySQL installed from source files).  If I leave everything running for a few weeks, without a HUP to Apache, it will eventually start doing this - login just gives a blank page.  Or sometimes it bounces back to the login screen again.

The server hasn't had a lot of activity, so there aren't tons of logs to rotate every night.  But now that it's picking up a bit, and I'm finding that the HUP will really help things, I think that's gonna be the solution for now.

BTW - I only see this particular sequence if the client is IE6.  God knows why...

I found if the php not compile with imap support, this problem will appeared.
So i re-compile php with imap support, and my problem is solved.
      For your reference.

Yep... I had this SAME problem and realized my Apache PHP module was compiled WITHOUT IMAP support. Once I fixed that, everything started working.

I'll write up a "IMAP not configured" message not received as a bug....

        Peace...

I have a problem with when I use IE 6 and log in it just keeps putting me back at the login screen. I can type in a totally bogus username and password and it does not even complain. Just keeps showing me the login screen. Different versions of IE work.

I tried installing .9.19 and same thing happens. However installing .9.11 works and I can log in. Going to continue to install newer version till it stops again and then I will report my findings.
