I am running JawMail 2.0.1 on a RedHat 7.3 system and I have a separate Mail server which I want to use to send mails from.
I have configured JawMail such that for sending mails it should use SMTP on port 25 to that mail server. However, no comunication happens what so ever when I send an email through JawMail.
When I connect from the JawMail machine through telnet to port 25 of the mail server, I can see that a connection is made and I can send an email that way too.
A workaround is to use sendmail but that way the mail is not logged in my mailserver and I am not familiair enough with sendmail reconfigure it to relay mails to the mailserver.
Can anybody help me to get SMTP working from JawMail?
Thanx
