Just started playing with webmail to see if I want to put one on my site. I LIKE this one. The install script went beautifully and it's up and running in no time. NOTE: put a note in the install script to create the jawmail database before you hit the 'do your magic' button or you'll error out.
If this is an easy thing, I don't know how to do it. If I want people to be able to sign up themselves via the browser, how can I do the 'don't have an account? sign up' here?

If you enter your admin password for MySQL table creation, it will create databases by itself... If you're just an ordinary user, you probably can't create a new database, right? :)
JAWmail treats new users like this: if it isn't in the database, it just connects to the IMAP server and checks for valid username and password. If they are, it adds the user to the database.
So you must write your own script for your IMAP server. Every IMAP server is a bit different (WU uses system accounts, Cyrus is a beast (it can authenticate from just about anything),...) so don't expect such script... Ok, maybe in 7.x ;)
