Autolinking means the computer automatically adds all
legal links to your peg, the moment you place it.
Strictly speaking, it could be argued that this is a
rules modification; it is the player's responsibility
to add links, not the computer's. But the practice is
widely used among Twixt players over the Net, and is a
lot easier than defining each new link manually, as
your screenshot seems to indicate.
Perhaps this could be made available as an option.
Also, instead of using an ordered pair of numbers to
define a hole, most players these days use a letter A-X
followed by a number 1-24. Each letter corresponds to a
specific vertical column, and the number indicates a
horizontal row.
Both of these conventions have been adopted on PBMserv
http://www.gamerz.net/pbmserv/ as well as Little Golem
http://www.littlegolem.net
Also please see my comments about link removal. Thanks!

Call me old-fashioned, but auto-linking strikes me as
cheating, or something. ;-)
Yes, making it a user option could be good. Although as a
developer I kind of hesitate to use that as a "solution" for
any proposed feature - the last resort of the clueless
developer is "make it a user option"! :)
I'll fork off that second suggestion about using standard
coordinate notation, should be easy to do.
