Javascore version 3.0.1 has been released. Download at: www.gromurph.org/javascore Major new features (more details - Fleet and SubDivision scoring added - New scoring and handicapping systems Snipe Class, 2001-2004 PHRF Time on Time Preliminary Portsmouth support - New Throwout features 1 throwout per x races count x best races only - Reporting options option to show rating only (and not name of the rating), eg 35 instead of PHRF/35) option in series reports to not include penalty points, eg DNC instead of DNC/35 option in series reports to show just the <x> most recent races improved behind-the-scenes HTML coding on Finish sheet option, duplicate sail number section added - File menu now remembers the last 3 regattas for quick re-opening - Warnings added on: duplicate sail numbers when importing missing race information for needed for scoring (such as race start time for time-on-time scoring) finish time before start time - Several minor bug fixes (those annoying "core dump" messages) - Initial testing on Java2 version 1.4 performed (it works OK, but I recommend staying with 1.3 for now) PLEASE NOTE: I will be out of the country and unavailble by email or for emergency support, April 26th through May 8th. CAVEATS: a) the german language support for new 3.0 features is not yet completed (you'll see a mix of german and english) b) Fleets of One-design is generally used for qualifying events (orange-pink race on one race while green-blue race in another, etc etc). For qualifying events, it works fine. So do fleets of handicap (PHRF overall combining PHRF A, B and C). IF you create a Fleet of One-Design classes that _never_ start together, results are not what you would expect and are not very predictable. I can't think of a good reason to do this so I chose not to delay release of 3.0 while I corrected this wierdness. |
