I'm suffering from this magic number problem on some applets, which is really causing problems. It would be amazing to get to the bottom of the issue. At the moment both the Weblogic console and the Interwoven Teamsite Content Centre applets fail with JEP but work on Safari. However various versions of both systems have HTML/Javascript problems with Safari but work perfectly under Firefox!
Personally I suspect the problem is in these sites' delivery of the applet to the browser rather than the applets themselves. It would be great to get to the bottom of this and work out whether it can be accommodated with in the JEP or at least send back a detailed bug report to the appropriate vendors.
Steven, or anyone else working on the plugin - I have set up a vanilla Weblogic installation which demonstrates the applet loading problem. If you are interested in testing against this please contact me on for the URL and username/password. My email address is alex [at] freerangedev.com
It's on a development license so I have to limit the number of different connections to it or it will lock you out, so only serious enquiries please!
