A "WebStart and Java Plugin Update 1.4.2 FC Seed" just
appeared as a free download on Apple's Developer Connection
site. It breaks signed applets in the Java Embedding
Plugin.
Some banking sites (notably Postbank.nl) use signed applets.
If you use signed applets, you shouldn't (for the time
being) install this update.
I will be trying to find a workaround for this problem.

This problem is fixed in version 0.9.0 of the Java Embedding
Plugin, which has just been released.
