Are there known applet refresh issues with Firefox 2 and 3 on Mac OS X? I downloaded the TightVNC Java Viewer applet (http://www.tightvnc.com/download.html) and placed it in a web page and am encountering a problem where the applet does not refresh correctly. For example, the mouse cursor within the applet leaves a trail of cursor artifacts behind and they don't go away until I click the "refresh" button in the applet options bar.
I do not encounter this issue with the applet on Windows or Solaris under Firefox. And, the applet works fine with Safari on the Mac.
Here's my env:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1
Java Plug-in 1.5.0
Using JRE version 1.5.0_16 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
I'm using an applet tag in the web page.
thanks, dean.
