Hi,
There seems to be a very large implimentation
worldwide to support LDAP and one can find many
applications that "listen and talk" ldap but for
those of us with legacy servers that are currently
setup on PH directories only, this poses a problem.
There is one open source application (put out by
Qulicom) that allows a PH client to convert its calls
into LDAP. The problem is the grand majority of
client applications support the newer LDAP protocols
and its the older legacy "servers" that only support
the PH calls.
I was wondering if you had considered adding a
reverse style lookup function to your JavaPH program,
so it could convert inbound LDAP requests into PH
calls to a legacy PH server. That way we can preserve
some of the legacy server's out there that rely on PH
directories but can leverage the power of the more
powerfull clients that only support LDAP.
What to you think ?
Thank you for your consideration
