How to install!

  1. Install Java 1.7 (http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp), or the alternative OpenJDK 7 (http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk7/)!
  2. Download my application "JavaMP4BoxGui-vX.X.jar". (X.X should be replaced with the version number ;-) )
  3. Download and install MP4Box from http://gpac.wp.mines-telecom.fr/downloads/gpac-nightly-builds/
  4. Download and install Handbrake from http://handbrake.fr/ (Windows version includes CLI, Linux and Mac must download the CLI version)
  5. On a 64-bit Windows system, JavaMP4BoxGui.jar will look in the x86 Program files by default! Mac users should install both to the Application folder.
  6. Run my app by double clicking the "JavaMP4BoxGui-vX.X.jar" file, alternativly from a terminal run "java -jar JavaMP4BoxGui-vX.X.jar"!

NOTE! for Mac/OS X and Linux etc:
In settings, the values for "MP4BoxExecutable" and "Cmd" might need to be updated to comply with the operating system! Rename "MP4Box" to what it's called in your OS etc. Btw, any input to me on what config you use can be posted in the "Discussion" page.

In short, my application needs access to the "MP4Box.exe" file to join videos. You can configure it's location and many other things in the "settings.conf" file my application automatically creates.

During development, the version of MP4Box used was the following: GPAC.Framework.Setup-0.5.1-DEV-rev4755
The source code is included in the Jar file atm!

OS support:
- Windows
- Linux
- Mac OSX
- others that support MP4Box, HandBrake and Java!

The inspiration for this app is: http://www.mp4joiner.org/en/
But I'm more proficient in Java, so I created this app for my own use :-)
