Why choose javaguard over retroguard?

If retroguard is also open source, why did you start javaguard? What shortcomings does retroguard have that you're hoping javaguard will avoid, and which would you recommmend using while javaguard is in beta? Are the advantages of javaguard significant enough that it should be chosen over retroguard even though you're still debugging it?
