You can implement org.jgroups.ChannelListener and then set it to your channel using setChannelListener.

The instance of ChannelListener will get invoked in both of your cases.

Subject: [javagroups-users] Detection of a Shunned Member

Two questions on shunning –

1) If a member is being shunned, is there a way for THAT member to detect that it is being shunned?

2) When a member is being shunned, leaves, and rejoins the cluster, is there a way for THAT member to know that it is re-joining?

I’m needing to detect the shunning – leaving – rejoining process so I can retrieve the new state from the coordinator, but I only want to do this on the member that is rejoining – I don’t want all of the existing member to request state also.

Thanks.
