Ok. I will investigate the issue. I don't have an OS X platform to test the platform.
You might try the CVS based startup scripts or alternatively a newer log4j version.
If newer log4j versions work better, I would switch the jar file in the next release.
And thanks for your encouragement ;)
Sorry for the problems.

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/log4j/Category
at net.sf.javadc.Main.<clinit>(Main.java:48)
This is the latest version (20050110)
I also got the very same error. :(
I'm really looking forward to being able to use this.
Keep up your great work. It's desperately needed for the OS X platform.

I get the same problem on gentoo Linux with that most recent beta. I can't see anything in runjavadc3 to set up the classpath. Am I missing something?
If you use the CVS files there is a javadc script in the root folder (runjavadc is for the release, javadc is for testing). You could try that one.
I changed the log4j version to the newest.

Same problem as before.
