That's the whole idea behind selling open source software. Again, read

No, it isn't. That's also in the FAQ. Excelsior JET is absolutely
useless in my opinion for ahead-of-time compilation.

Why not? It completely fits in and is completely legal and fine. Even
encouraged by GNU (-> FAQ).
