    hi,

i'm doing a program that uses a USB bluetooth device. accdg to the book Java for Bluetooth, before anything else, i have to initialize the stack. they gave sample codes to initialize the stack but only for the Atinav and Rococo sdks.

how do i initialize the stack using this JavaBluetooth stack?

thank you in advance for replying.

Did you get an answer? Do you know how to do it now? I have the same book, and I'm trying to do the same as you.

      Hey,

I'm afraid in order to use USB you will need to find a driver that exposes the Bluetooth Chip as a UART using the H4 Transport Protocol. There's no driver like that available right now. So you're stuck with Serial Dongels, CF cards and PCMCIA Cards. Fell free to write a USB Driver though.

And how can i intialize stack with PCMCIA cards?

I always get this error message:
Failed to retrieve the local device(Unable to load HCIManager. org.javabluetooth.stack.hci.HCIException: BluetoothStack not initalized. )

      Hi guys,

this is my first post and my first problem.
      Ive got a question though.

if you download SonyEricsson's J2ME which is practically Java's Wireless Tool Kit but for SE Phones there is a program called:
DeviceExplorer.exe and what that does is transfers data to and from my pc and t630 phone.

it uses a USB Dongle and im on Windows XP, how can this happen? Im using the WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software 1.4.2 build 10.

is there a stack on my pc i can secrel use? when i CTRL+ALT+DEL i get this app called: BTStackServer.exe

      Can anyone help?? Thanks
