i created a sphere using 3d max and exported it as a 3DS file.but i didn't use any textures or lights.i placed the sphere near the origin of the 3ds max space. but i could not make that 3DS file visible when i imported it to my java 3d program.could anyone please explain the reason?is there any rules that we should follow when we are creating a3 ds max scene?

Put a light in the scene in 3d studio max before you export it.
