I'm a french student, and I'm working with the Sip Communicator team.
My job is to add file transfer to Sip Communicator.
Sip Communicator is using Java MSN Messenger library for the msn protocol.
I take a long time to search about documentation on how to use Java MSN Messenger library for file transfer, but I didn't find anything.
So please can you give some information or document on how make filetransfer work.
Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get this file transfer work with jml library ? I am also looking for it and it does not seem like jml supports it even though some infrastructure had been put into the code base.. Let me know if you got it to work
Thanks in advance

There's another project jMSN which may have FT working.
If you guys switch to using JClaim libraries for IMs, this kind of stuff would be a "do in 1 place, use universally" kind of thing ;) Instead of everyone reinventing the wheel.

When I first evaluated the various MSN java libs out there, I ran into a lot of problems with jmsn. That said, I could probably borrow code from jmsn. =D I also don't have a feel for whether jmsn has improved since I last looked at it.
Folk I promise you I haven't vanished. ;D The project I'm working on that requires this library just has be working on other things at the moment. File transfer is coming along as some point and getting it working with java-jml would be a good start since I'm fairly used to the code. ;)
BTW, I'm still looking for/hoping for co-developers on this project. I'd love to have some help. =)

Hello all.
My name is Ricardo, and I have been working with JML for the last two months. Listen, I am interested in helping on the development of file transfer for JML. My expertise is not the greatest, but the work with JML as made me capable of understanding how things work with the library. I dont want to jump ahead, but, supposing that I were working on that area, would I have to familiarize miself with the Cindy library? I have been looking at it and so far it seems a bit difficult for me to understand. Would the tools provided in the JML library be enough for the development of file transfer? Anyway, my offer is on the table. I would be thrilled to cooperate with the development of this service. You can contact me through this forum, I will be doing a weekly check at this forum, for any responses.
goodbye....
